Overview maps of Permanent Housing Construction,
Batticaloa, Sri Lanka
Since the start of the construction of permanent housing, Mearch has been providing up-to-date maps of the construction programme, both in goverment relocation sites, but additionally, with numbers of houses build on private owned landed. The maps include a table with information of the different installments made by the government. Installments are paid to families who lost their house completely or partially. The government of Sri Lanka is checking the quality of the houses constructed, to make sure that all houses meet the safety standards. Houses are to be completed including toilet, kitchen, and connection to the electricity network and drainage systems.
