Introduction

Each humanitarian setting has its own unique characteristics. Agencies that work in emergencies, development and related humanitarian settings therefore have very specific information needs. MEARCH.org has the expertise to provide you with that unique source of information. Starting today.

MEARCH can provide your agency with that unique information, or by providing you with the tools to help find it yourself. The expertise of MEARCH comprises not only data collection, but also data analizing, data presentation and geographical representation (GIS). Our aim is to combine field data with information about the local context so to have 'real' and useful field oriented information available. Field data made available to support your agency.

MEARCH's focus is extremely practical. MEARCH believes that the sole basis of information can only be found in the field. Therefore data collection is our single most important tool. Together with a handfull of core values data collection methodology forms our mission statement. Each of these core values has been formulated so that creativity, flexibility and affordability are not blocking our view and basic human values are valid not only in the humanitarian field but also within the organisation itself. See our mission statement for further information.

Activities such as capacity building, consultancy, research and development are the main tools of MEARCH to develop new and innovative data solutions. All activities together are aimed to encouraging humanitarian agencies to collaborate, work more efficient and work with increased profesionality.

MEARCH links emergency relief with development. Emergencies lack the necessary time and availability of accurate information whereas development projects need a more continuous information flow. Mearch has the expertise to cope with these dynamic boundaries and provide you with the information you need wherever you are.
